Your Body Mandala: A Guide to Posture, Perception and Presence is her latest endeavor to bring body consciousness to the general public. Like The New Rules of Posture, this book introduces the concept of perceptual organization of posture and movement, along with reader-friendly presentations of supporting science. There are sections on fascia research, on tensegrity, and on brain maps. There are also stories meant to demonstrate the practical application of enhanced somatic literacy. This time the stories aren’t “case histories,” but are bits of her own “body memoir.”
The book will help readers trade habits of feeling stressed out and crumpled up for habits that let them feel bigger, more expansive, more expressive and more powerful. Exercises and meditations in the book will be available in linked audio and video files, so it will be like I’m right there coaching the reader.
